The war in Iraq has lasted 1,348 days, two days longer than America's involvement in World War II. Only three wars - the Civil War, the Vietnam War and the Revolutionary War - have engaged the country longer.

World War II was for a noble cause. This one is for -- what? I long ago forgot what the lie was that got us into this. I will never, however, forget the lives lost, on both sides, that always happens in a war that always breaks the hearts of loved ones and can never be undone. I just hope Mr. Bush will remember, too, and be haunted by what he has done.
